Mi investigación se centra en el conocimiento de la diversidad microbiana en ambientes naturales y el potencial uso en el tratamiento de residuos. En particular, estudio el rol de los microorganismos (Bacterias y Arqueas) en la degradación de la materia orgánica en ausencia de oxígeno bajo condiciones subóptimas. Recientemente, me enfoco en estudiar el rol de los microorganismos en el ciclo del nitrógeno.
